Kim Hoffman

President/Owner

Kim Hoffman is the President and owner of Hoffman International, founded in 1986. She began her own modeling career as a teenager in high school. Though she thoroughly enjoyed modeling in her local market and nationally, she found her niche in educating models.

Hoffman International represents more than 300 models and actors in the Kansas City market for runway, print and commercial broadcast. Kim Hoffman’s talent is world renowned for the development and placement of Hoffman’s models and actors. Many past and present models have graced the covers of Vogue, Seventeen, Nylon, Elle and W. Angela Lindvall, a supermodel who is Hoffman International’s biggest success story to date, has landed numerous prestigious ad campaigns including Cover Girl, Chanel, DKNY, Gap, Christian Dior, Calvin Klein and Prada, just to name a few.

Kim believes preparation through quality training results in self-confidence and professionalism. Her students range from aspiring supermodels to persons interested in self-improvement. She participates in AMTC, an international model and talent convention, annually in Orlando, Florida, where she has received nine Agency of the Year awards. Kim educates and takes a personal interest in each model and actor attending AMTC to prepare them for their competitions and, ultimately, meeting with national and international agents.
As a National Vice President Independent Consultant with Arbonne International, she firmly believes in the importance of quality herbal botanical skincare and cosmetic products. She has been affiliated with Arbonne for nearly 17 years and knows that beautiful skin is a must for anyone in the modeling business.

Kim is married and has 4 children.

Kathy Johnson

Development Center Director

Kathy oversees daily operations of the Model Development Center. She works closely with both the Development Center Coordinator and New Faces Administrator to ensure the master schedule is set for all programs, and that classes are handled with care. One of Kathy’s primary responsibilities is serving as the Staff Writer for Hoffman. This endeavor includes manuals, newsletters, class handout updates, web content, client agreements, model notifications, and any important Hoffman documents. She also prepares and submits all paperwork for the annual Kansas Board of Regents renewal certificate for our Model Development Center.

Kathy attained a business degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and began her journey with Hoffman International in 1993. She, her husband, and young daughter, enjoy traveling several times a year.

Lindsay Lyngar

New Faces Administrator

Lindsay meets with potential models and actors looking to start in the industry. She is the initial contact at Hoffman and helps people determine what programs are needed to train them for their careers in the business. She also participates in scouting events to search for new, prospective talent and works closely with our Development Center Coordinator on the Hoffman curriculum.

Lindsay grew up in the industry, always interested in singing, dancing, acting and modeling. After completing a course at Hoffman, she attained representation with agencies in Kansas City, LA and New York. She then took a break from modeling and graduated from Baylor University with her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. Through all of her experiences, Lindsay has seen the good and the not so good side of the industry.

She joined Hoffman as the New Faces Administrator to help educate other aspiring models and actors about how important it is to find a reputable agency who has your best interest at heart along with the best talent! She is passionate about the manner in which Hoffman prepares their models through the personal development and professional courses that not only make them fully competent models, but also fully confident individuals. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys socializing, curling up with a good book or movie, and spending weekends at the lake with her husband and family.

Bailey RETOUCHED

Bailey Kopp

Development Center Coordinator

Bailey is the Development Center Coordinator at Hoffman International. She is responsible for maintaining the curriculum, setting course dates, and securing guest models and speakers. Bailey prepares and distributes all paperwork, handouts, and supplies to Hoffman Instructors for their classes and students. She also schedules photo shoots and seminars, and handles all subsequent registration, payment and detailed paperwork.

Bailey is also a Hoffman instructor for the Preparatory Course.

Cara Price

Agency Director

Cara works with local and regional clients to book Hoffman talent for modeling and acting jobs. She networks with industry professionals to secure the best work for our models and actors. Cara continually develops Hoffman talent and works closely with them in preparation for bookings and their modeling careers. In addition, she is the head instructor for the Professional Modeling Course, manages the website, schedules Agent meetings for talent seeking national placement, and oversees photo marketing material orders.

Cara graduated from Cornell College with a degree in Business and Economics. She has been with Hoffman since 1997 and has had experience as a model, back stage manager, choreographer and coordinator of fashion shows.

Valeri Bates

Booker

Valeri is Hoffman International’s Booker. She works closely with Cara Price on bookings and castings, as well as maintaining the website. She is also responsible for on-site photography/videography and conducting in-agency casting sessions.

Valeri graduated from The Art Institutes International – Kansas City with a BA in Digital Film and Video. She produced, directed, shot, edited, and even acted in her feature-length thesis film, featuring a full Hoffman Int’l cast. With her strong background in production studies, Valeri continues to focus on her career with various film projects on the side.

In her free time, Valeri enjoys independent filmmaking, studying movies, singing, reading manga and playing with her rabbit, Poppy.

Colette Waters

Photo Assistant

Colette is the Photo Assistant for Hoffman International. She places all final orders for model and talent photo marketing materials. This process involves her working closely with the International and Commercial booking departments to create comp card layouts, web pages and head shots. Colette also assists with photo editing and retouching, and helps to create and update model and talent website profiles.

Colette graduated from Columbia College in Columbia, MO with a degree in photography, graphic design and business. She is a Hoffman alumnus who was originally scouted while on vacation in South Carolina and then referred to Hoffman Agency. Freelance photography and graphic design are her passions that take up much of her free time. In addition, she enjoys reading, family dinners, and traveling with her husband.

Donna Ramel

Accountant

Donna is Hoffman International’s Accountant. She handles client invoicing, model checks, human resources, payroll and all accounting-related issues. Prior to starting her accounting role in mid-2012, Donna has been working with Hoffman as the AMTC Convention Facilitator since 2002. She organizes and keeps track of many details including flights, hotel reservations, sponsors, banquet tickets, observer passes, payments, and more for Hoffman’s participants. In addition, she prepares, updates and distributes AMTC paperwork and handouts.

Donna joined Hoffman in her second career since she recently retired from teaching elementary school after 30 gratifying years. She has 3 grown children, one being Kelly, her youngest daughter who began her journey as a Hoffman model 13 years ago. Donna enjoys crafts, spending time with friends, and being a creative homebody alongside her 2 constant companions, a yellow labrador and a black cat.

Up
