Jeff Nicholson is an extremely talented photographer specializing in beautiful, creative, fresh images. He has photographed talent in Los Angeles, New York and the Midwest for over 20 years. Joining Jeff is stylist and make-up artist Michele Taylor. Michele styles for many regional photographers and works with publications such as Kansas City Magazine and 435 South Magazine.

PHOTO SHOOT WITH JENNY WHEAT
Jenny Wheat, owner of Wheat Photography is a commercial photographer specializing in lifestyle, fashion, food, product, corporate and portrait photography. Wheat Photography's team has offices in the Studio Dan Meiners building at 25th and Broadway and their 5,000 sq. ft. urban loft co-op shooting studio is in the West Bottoms.
Her list of local clients has grown to hundreds. She searches for the newset and most cutting edge technology and photographic styles to bring fresh (and sometimes wild!) ideas and creativity to every session.

BASICS ACTING COURSE
Tuesdays starting August 24th

Hoffman International is pleased to announce the launch of their Broadcast Division. Hoffman is now a complete full service agency for commercial print, high fashion, runway and broadcast.
The Hoffman International Basics Acting Course is a six week program, instructed by Jennifer Plas, teaching the fundamental practices of on-camera and face-to-face auditioning. Through this course, students will learn about commercial acting, actors etiquette and essential tools for auditions. At the conclusion of the six weeks, students will have the opportunity to perform in front of the Hoffman Staff Panel and showcase their skills for possible placement in Hoffman's Broadcast Division.
Jennifer Plas Bio:
Jennifer Plas, a native of Kansas City, will be instructing the course. Ms. Plas is a Emmy Award winning Executive Producer. She has had a successful career in film/television/web in Kansas City for the past 12 years and has also worked in Los Angeles. Jennifer is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). Under her belt as an actress, she has numerous commercials, industrial films, indie films, webisodes and print work. She is currently the spokesperson and helps produce commericals for Shawnee Mission KIA. She recently won an Emmy Award for executive producing the HIT web series, The Unreal Housewives of Kansas City. She also starred in the series as the martini-loving character, Marci Robbinson. Ms. Plas also executive produces and hosts Kansas City's magazine show seen on FOX titled, "The Power of KC".
During her time in LA, she was in association with Disney, E!, VH1, TLC and booked a recurring role on the highly praised comedy webisode, "Motherhoodlum: The Series". Jennifer recently shot the short film, "Now That You're Dead" with SenoReality Pictures. Also, Ms Plas recently wrote and produced the comedic short film, "The Playdate". Jennifer has trained with Kansas City native, Dee Wallace Stone, LA's comedy troupe "The Groundlings" and Marki Costello, who is infamous for shaping hosting careers.
Jennifer prides herself in developing talent with her classes at Hoffman International and uses her students in all her projects. She loves giving her students the opportunity to build their resume and develop their craft.

This comprehensive acting program compliments the Basics Acting Class focusing on continuing education in the areas of Commercial Acting and Introduction to Teleprompter usage. At the conclusion of the 6 week course, (12 hourse class time) students will have the opportunity to interact with industry leaders in the Kansas City area as well as audition for future projects.

Hoffman International has implemented a new policy that requires models to be responsible for keeping their portfolio. Please come to the agency to pick up your portfolio as we will no longer be storing them at the agency. This will make it more convenient for you to take your portfolio with you on go-sees and bookings.
