After multiple suggestions from family members and friends, Jack Lankford decided to see what his chances were at becoming a model and came to Hoffman Agency in October 2009. A scout from Ford Chicago was due at the Agency the following day and, at the urging of Kim Hoffman, Jack came back the next day for the Go-See. Ford immediately expressed interest and took digitals of him. Less than a year later, he was signed with Ford Chicago. He is now signed with Next Models NY. Jack began 2010 preparing for the national AMTC (Actors, Models and Talent for Christ) competition to be held in Orlando, FL that summer. He spent months attending workshops at Hoffman, building his portfolio with the help of New York photographer Glynis Arban, and diligently preparing himself for 6 competitions. Not only did he receive 17 callbacks from world-wide agents, but he also won Overall Teen Male Model and was offered a contract with VNY, an esteemed male modeling agency in New York. Many local photographers expressed interest in doing test shoots with Jack as he has such a unique, editorial look. Some of those tests turned into some modeling opportunities, including a billboard for Wheat Photography and work with Jack Henry. Aside from being cast as an extra in an AMC commercial, Jack has booked 435 South Magazine and Standard Style magazine, with the honor of landing that cover. Jack has also participated in runway fashion shows including Standard Style Boutique, the Garment District and Rock ‘n Fashion. As they say, timing is everything in this business and Jack’s timing that October day preceding a visit from Ford could not have been better for him. With continued motivation, dedication and hard work, the modeling opportunities are limitless for Jack Lankford.
